Gooseberry Patch Christmas in the Country
Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups chicken broth
10 oz package frozen broccoli, thawed
2 tbsp light butter
2 tbsp dried minced onion
2 1/4 cup reduced fat milk, divided
10-3/4 oz can cheddar cheese soup
2 cups shredded reduced fat cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp garlic salt
2 tbsp all purpose flour
1/2 cup carrots, julienned (optional)
Directions:
Combine chicken broth, broccoli, butter, onion and carrots in a stockpot; cook over medium heat until the carrots and onion are tender. Add 2 cups milk, soup, cheese, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic salt; cook over low heat until cheese melts. Stir in flour and remaining milk; heat until thickened. Serves 4
